Chicago Event attendees: Join Us in Accelerating Climate-Ready Clean Energy Ventures
“HARDSHIP CREATES OPPORTUNITY” – The old adage still applies

Removal of federal tax credits and other federal support has sidelined a significant amount of capital previously focused on clean energy, creating a void - without clear alternative investment pathways - for clean energy climate sustainability initiatives
CSPI has a multi-pronged strategy to create large swaths of financially viable local “behind-the-meter” (on-site) solar / battery storage projects in states where electricity costs are high enough to provide a good return on investment even without federal tax credit incentives. This includes solar innovation projects targeted to ag land operations, industrial electrification mandates and EV charging - for trucks, farm vehicles, municipal fleet vehicles and automobiles. Our solutions include bond pooling financial vehicles, purchasing cooperatives and local site energy load modeling and adaptation, to drive project success. We work closely with environmental justice groups and are proud to be a trusted messenger during outreach with local communities.
The Center for Strategic Policy Innovation (CSPI) is launching multiple for-profit social impact ventures designed to close the local clean energy deployment gap using scalable solar + storage/microgrid models. Our work is grounded in numerous modeling and pilot efforts with ASU and NREL, which has provided us with unique insights into the clean energy buildout potential of behind-the-meter (on-site) solar-anchored battery storage and microgrid projects. This local community-focused work has given CSPI and our partners an ability to identify opportunities for widespread scaling of local clean energy deployment opportunities that others might overlook.
We’re looking for Aspen Ideas Climate attendees interested in deploying capital, technology, and partnering relationships to make this happen. We’re also looking to team with those who might want to explore ways of utilizing economic purchasing power to effect meaningful societal change.
